Bulldog Books is a place for Northern readers and writers to talk about the stories we all love.
While the focus is on books that are some way related to Canada’s three territories, there is also room for broader discussions of literature from the rest of the country and around the world. The North is home to people from all over and, now more than ever, has the world’s eyes trained on it. Adding more north-of-60 voices (and those who care about them) to the conversation can only be a good thing.
It’s not about reading only snooty literature (though it’s always welcome), or constantly pushing for deeper hidden meaning. Here you’ll find reviews of children’s books, graphic novels, literature, poetry, and short stories. At some point, you will also find interviews with authors and publishers. If we were set up to live-stream a bunch of people telling stories around a fire, we would do that too.
As always, the more the merrier.
